KCRF is working to reimagine Lions Park as a vibrant community center focused on the River by enhancing public access, employing nature-based solutions for water quality protection, providing examples of riparian best management practices, beatification, personal health, and other community and environmental benefits.
In partnership with local, regional, and state stewardship organizations, KCRF is helping improve disaster response policy to align with best management practices to help protect and enhance sensitive green space and riparian areas after flood events.
KCRF works with river authorities, universities, and other research institutions to develop and expand studies that support river function, water quality, cultural heritage, citizen engagement, green space development, and activity critical to natural resource protection.
By teaming with partners like the Kerrville Urban Trail System, KCRF helps develop trails for economic development, flood mitigation, riparian management, enhanced river function and other community benefits.
